As we approach the fun times that the summer season has to offer the Laurens County Sheriff’s Office, along with our partners in the Laurens County Prevention Coalition, would like to take the opportunity to remind the citizens of Laurens County to make strong decisions when it comes to drinking and driving. Last year, in 2012, there were over 250 DUI arrests made in Laurens County. This year, thanks to a renewed community effort spearheaded by LCSO, SCHP, Laurens PD, Clinton PD, GateWay Counseling Center, and other community organizations that form the Laurens County Prevention Coalition, a multi jurisdictional DUI Task Force has been formed to take a proactive approach against driving under the influence in Laurens County. Through May 2013, the Task Force has recorded over 200 DUI related arrests in Laurens. We remain committed to providing the citizens of Laurens County safe roadways. Help us in this effort by doing your part... Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over.
