Laurens County Sheriff’s Chaplains are ordained members of the clergy who donate their time and talents in partnership with the members of the Laurens County Sheriff’s Office in service to our communities. Our Chaplains foster relationships with staff members and the community by providing confidential, compassionate and caring support during both emergency and non-emergency situations that occur. The chaplains also do ride-alongs with deputies, make hospital visitations and perform a variety of other ministerial functions. Presently all of the Chaplains have prior or present law enforcement experience which better prepares them to assist the officers in the field if required and to better understand what it means to be a Law Enforcement Officer in the community. The Laurens County Sheriff's Office Chaplain Program provides for a volunteer chaplain to be on call twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. We are proud of our Chaplains and many seek out their guidance. |
